Continuing with its nearly three-decade-old tradition and setting renewed speculation to rest, Congress on Friday decided against holding elections to its apex decision-making body, Congress Working Committee (CWC), and authorised party president Mallikarjun Kharge to reconstitute it through nominations. It was the most awaited agenda item of the 85th ‘Haath Se Haath Jodo’ plenary session of Congress, which got under way with the meeting of the steering committee chaired by Kharge.
