Drought in Europe pushes up olive oil prices by 60%

The price of extra virgin olive oil in India has skyrocketed due to two consecutive years of drought in Europe. Importers report that prices have increased by at least 50% to 60%, with the possibility of reaching Rs 1,500 per litre.
