A journalist has filed a contempt petition against Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray for his derogatory remarks towards Chief Justice DY Chandrachud in a Dussehra speech. He has sought the attorney general's permission to file the petition, stating that Thackeray's statements amount to criminal contempt under the Contempt of Court Act.
