The IAF has launched an inquiry into the circumstances under which one of its units “accidentally fired” the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile that crashed 124-km inside Pakistan on March 9, in a “major operational lapse” that could have provoked retaliation from the neighbouring country. However, Pakistan has demanded a joint probe into the accidental firing.
