"This way, they will end up making her more popular," Mamata said at a party convention in Kolkata, echoing Moitra's claim that the parliamentary ethics committee's report recommending her expulsion had turned her into "Jhansi ki Rani". TMC reinstated Moitra as the party's Krishnanagar district president recently, with Mamata endorsing the appointment.
