On Thursday, Jharkhand Governor CP Radhakrishnan named Champai Soren, the JMM legislative leader, as the nominated chief minister and extended an invitation for him to take the oath to lead the state government. Champai Soren is scheduled to be sworn in as the Chief Minister of Jharkhand on Friday. In the 81-member Jharkhand assembly, the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM)-led alliance has 47 MLAs.
