Maharashtra cow subsidy higher than in other BJP states

This week, Maharashtra's Mahayuti govt approved a Rs 50 per cow daily subsidy for registered gaushalas, costing Rs 230 crore annually. Despite existing support schemes and finance department objections, the subsidy aims to aid desi cows, whose numbers are declining significantly.
